Rick Matthews
New Wave Recovery Employee
Rick is a person in recovery. He spent most of his life building a career in the construction industry. Construction gave him many opportunities, but he eventually had to face a difficult truth: he could not maintain his sobriety while staying in that environment.
More About Rick
Making the decision to leave a lifelong career was one of the hardest choices Rick has ever made, but it was also one of the best. Today he works in the recovery field and is incredibly passionate about helping people find hope, healing, and a new way of living.
Recovery has given Rick a second chance, and he now spends his days doing work that has real purpose. He has the privilege of walking alongside others as they begin their own recovery journey, and there is nothing more rewarding to him than watching someone discover that change is possible.
Rick is grateful that today he gets to do something he truly loves while helping others build lives they never thought were possible.
Care that feels different
We were founded by people in long-term recovery, so the way we treat you comes from having been where you are. That shows up in everything we do.
Founded by people in recovery
When you call New Wave, you talk to someone who has walked this path, not a call center. This is personal for us.
The same therapist throughout
You keep your private therapist as you move between levels of care, so your progress is never interrupted and you never start over.
Holistic care, every day
Reiki, yoga, sound healing, and mindfulness are woven into daily treatment alongside evidence-based therapy, not offered once in a while.
